TOMORROW, the brand new Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 Blu Rays are released to honor the original movie’s release 30 years ago!! We can’t wait to get our hands on them, not just because it’s an essential addition to our library, but because a handful of art from our traveling exhibit is a bonus feature!! YES!
To celebrate this release, we will be restocking a VERY SMALL AMOUNT of anniversary prints online FOR THE LAST TIME EVER at Ghostbusters30th.com tomorrow afternoon. Some posters had purchases fall through from invalid payments, duplicates or mistakes, and those will become available for a very short time. Also for the first time ever, we will be placing the original artwork and a limited number of show exclusive prints, that were only visible at the exhibit stops, at gallery1988.com.
So go pick up the new Blu Rays for two of the greatest comedies ever (WE CAN ARGUE FOR GHOSTBUSTERS 2 ALL DAY, SO DON’T EVEN TRY) and then buy some of the art before it’s literally gone for good!!
And thank you to our friends at Sony for such an exciting experience. We’ve now been an extra feature on 3 DVD/Blu Rays: LOST, Breaking Bad and Ghostbusters. Not bad at all.
One of our favorite pieces from the Joss Whedon tribute show that opens TOMORROW NIGHT at 7 PM at G1988 (West) is from artist Bruce Yan, titled “Mal.”
It’s 11x14, a giclee print and will be a TIMED RELEASE. Each print will be signed and numbered, $40 each and will first be available at the opening reception. Then it will be put online Saturday afternoon and available through Sunday night at 11:59 PM PT. Just the weekend. Then never again available. The edition size will be determined by how many sold in that timeframe.
Check out these selections from Alex Pardee’s “Department of Zoology,” his series for our Joss Whedon x G1988 art show, opening THIS FRIDAY, from 7-10 PM at G1988 (West). Stop by, this one gonna be good!
THIS FRIDAY NIGHT - It’s G1988 x Joss Whedon! Join us for the opening reception from 7-10 PM at G1988 (West) and check out artists interpretations of the creator’s film and TV work!! All born from an idea Joss mentioned at Comic Con a few years back, check out 100% Soft’s piece. See you there…
